 Attabad Lake Hunza Northern Pakistan

This beautiful lake,  Attabad Lake also spelled Attabad  Lake is located in Hunza Valley, in Gilgit Baltistan, Northern Pakistan. In the laps of mighty Karakoram Ranges. Its blue water and stunning beauty compels the tourist to gaze forever.  

Formation:

Attabad Lake was formed in January 2010 when half of the Attabad Village fell down and blocked the flow of the Hunza River. It submerged Siskat village and hundreds of homes. There are some sad stories under this beautiful blue water of Attabad Lake.

Location:

Attaabad is about 30 mint drive from  Ali Abad Town in Central Hunza.  You can get public transport from Ali Abad but it's better if you have some personal transport. 

Attabad Tunnel 

On the way to Attabad Lake, you have to cross the Attabad Tunnel which is symbol of friendship between China and Pakistan. It was made by cutting through the heart of the Karakorum Mountains.

You will find many facilities, some state of the Art Attabad Hotels, Jets Ski, Boat Service, Restaurants etc. You will have great fun and some beautiful memories. Morever, you can do fishing.
